Timbrul românesc: Jocurile Olimpice de iarnă 2018














JOCURILE OLIMPICE DE IARNĂ 2018 WINTER OLYMPIC GAMES 2018 Romanian: Inspirate de Jocurile Olimpice grecești din secolele VIII î.Hr. – IV d.Hr. și cu o istorie de aproape 100 de ani, Jocurile Olimpice de iarnă reprezintă cel mai așteptat eveniment sportiv din iarna acestui an. Prima ediție a avut loc în anul 1924 în Chamonix, Franța și a reunit 5 sporturi practicate la acea vreme: bob, curling, hochei pe gheață, patinaj și schi. Jocurile Olimpice de iarnă, organizate de Coreea de Sud pentru prima dată, sunt găzduite în acest an, în perioada 9-25 februarie, de orașul PyeongChang. În această țară a mai avut loc și o ediție a Jocurilor Olimpice de vară, la Seul, în 1988. Romfilatelia este alături de sportivii români participanți la cea de-a XXIII-a ediție a Jocurilor Olimpice de iarnă, PyeongChang 2018 prin introducerea în circulație a unei emisiuni de mărci poștale dedicate acestui eveniment sportiv internațional. Noua emisiune de mărci poștale Jocurile Olimpice de iarnă 2018 va fi disponibilă începând de vineri, 9 februarie 2018, în magazinele Romfilatelia din Bucureşti, Bacău, Braşov, Cluj-Napoca, Iaşi, Timişoara, precum şi în magazinul nostru online: http://romfilatelia.ro/store/. Emisiunea ilustrează patru discipline olimpice. Bobul este reprezentat pe timbrul cu valoarea nominală de 2,50 lei, schiul alpin este ilustrat pe timbrul cu valoarea nominală de 4,50 lei, proba de schi fond este prezentată pe timbrul cu valoarea nominală de 8 lei, iar proba săritura cu schiurile este redată pe timbrul cu valoarea nominală de 15 lei. Anul acesta, uniformele purtătorilor de medalii și însoțitorilor sportivilor sunt inspirate de culorile steagului național al Coreei de Sud – roșu, alb și albastru. Sportivii medaliați vor primi, în loc de flori, păpușa-mascotă Soohorang. Aceasta va purta pălării de aur, argint sau bronz, precum și o floare de hârtie, cunoscută sub numele de uhsahwa. De asemenea, vor primi și un obiect din lemn împodobit cu scene de pe muntele din PyeongChang, pe care scrie „PyeongChang 2018”, în alfabetul coreean Hangul. În cadrul evenimentului sportiv sunt incluse 15 discipline, din 7 sporturi: patinaj (patinaj artistic, patinaj viteză și patinaj viteză pe pistă scurtă), schi (alpin, fond, liber, combinată nordică, sărituri cu schiurile și snowboard), bob (bob și skeleton), biatlon, curling, hochei pe gheață și sanie. România a participat pentru prima dată la Jocurile Olimpice de iarnă la ediția din 1928, de la Saint Moritz. Țara noastră nu a avut reprezentanți la ediția inaugurală de la Chamonix, din 1924, și la competiția din 1960, de la Squaw Valley. În 1968, la Grenoble (Franța), România a obținut medalia de bronz, cu bobul masculin 2 persoane, cu echipa formată din Ion Panțuru și Nicolae Neagoe. La Jocurile Olimpice de iarnă de la PyeongChang, țara noastră va participa la probele de schi alpin și fond, sărituri cu schiurile, biatlon, bob, sanie și skeleton. Emisiunea de mărci poștale este completată de un plic prima zi, iar ca forme de machetare au fost folosite coala de 32 de timbre, minicoala de 5 timbre+1 vinietă și blocul de 4 timbre. 


English: Having a history of nearly 100 years and inspired by the Greek Olympic Games of the 8th century B.C. – 4th A.D., the Winter Olympics Games from this year is the most awaited sporting event. The first edition took place in 1924 in Chamonix, France, and brought together five sports practiced at that time: bob, curling, ice hockey, skating and skiing. The Winter Olympic Games will be hosted this year by PyeongChang, a city in South Korea, between 9th and 25th of February. It is for the first time that an edition of the Winter Games is organized in this country. South Korea also hosted the Summer Olympics, in Seoul (1988). Romfilatelia is alongside Romanian athletes participating in the 23rd Winter Olympic Games, PyeongChang 2018, by introducing into circulation the postage stamp issue dedicated to this international multi-sport event. The new issue, Winter Olympic Games 2018, will be available on Friday, February 9th, 2018, in Romfilatelia’ own shops network in Bucharest, Bacau, Brașov, Cluj-Napoca, Iași and Timișoara and online on http://romfilatelia.ro/store/. The postage stamp issue illustrates four Olympic disciplines. The bobsleigh is depicted on the stamp with the face value of Lei 2.50, thealpine skiing is illustrated on the stamp with the face value of Lei 4.50, the cross-country ski competition is displayed on the stamp with the face value of Lei 8, and the ski jumping competition is shown on the stamp with the face value of Lei 15. This year, the outfits of the medal bearers and escorts are in red, white and blue, inspired by the colours of South Korean national flag. Instead of flowers, the medal winners of these sport competitions will be given the mascot-doll Soohorang. The doll will wear a gold, silver or bronze hat and a paper flower known as uhsahwa. The medal winners will also receive a wooden souvenir adorned with mountain scenes of PyeongChang and characters from the Korean Hangul alphabet spelling out “PyeongChang 2018”. The sport event includes 7 Olympic sports, reuniting 15 disciplines: skating (figure skating, speed skating and short track speed skating), skiing (alpine, cross-country skiing, freeskiing, Nordic combined, ski jumping, snowboard), bobsleigh (bobsleigh and skeleton), biathlon, curling, ice hockey and luge. Romania participated for the first time at the Winter Olympics at the 1928 edition, in Saint Moritz. Our country did not have representatives at the inaugural edition of Chamonix, in 1924, and at the 1960 competition, in Squaw Valley. At Grenoble 1968 Winter Games (France), Romania’s team, comprised of the athletes Ioan Panturu and Nicolae Neagoe, won the bronze medal at the 2-man bobsleigh race. At PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games, Romania’s athletes will take part in the alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, biathlon, bobsleigh, luge events and skeleton. The postage stamp issue is completed by a First Day Cover, as page composition there were used a sheet of 32 stamps, a minisheet of 5 stamps + 1 label and a block of 4 stamps.
