Although it already seems a topic, I want to start by thanking friend Paul (Euromunter) for his deference to Visual Numismatics by giving me the images of the 2 euro commemorative coins to be issued in Spain in 2018.

The first continues with the series launched in 2010 dedicated to goods or places included in the World Heritage List of UNESCO, according to its order of registration corresponding the turn in 2018 to the "Old Town of Santiago de Compostela".

The design shows the sculpture of Santiago Apostle as the central figure of the composition, just behind appears the Holy Door of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. In the left side and in capitals the word SPAIN, below the issue year 2018 and below the Mint Mark of the Mint.

The issue date is scheduled for the first of February 2018. And attention to the issue volume, 300,000 pieces, which would make of this the coin of 2 euros commemorative with the lowest circulation, with a lot of difference.

The second theme is the "50th Anniversary of King Philip VI" which will celebrate its 50th birthday next January 30th.

The coin shows the coat of arms of King Philip VI, left and in capital letters the word SPAIN, below the year of issue 2018; Above the right the mint mark and in the lower semicircle the text 50th ANNIVERSARY OF DON FELIPE VI.

Apparently the two coins will be put into circulation simultaneously in the first days of February 2018. As for the volume of emission for this piece will also be quite limited, if we take into account the usual amounts; 400,000 coins will be minted, which will make it the second with a smaller circulation.
