O nouă monedă comemorativă din Luxemburg - 11.06.2016

The “D’Maus Ketti” gold coin is the sixth entry in the series “CULTURAL HISTORY OF THE GRAND DUCHY OF LUXEMBOURG” and the second piece issued by the Central Bank of Luxembourg. The coin has the following characteristics:
The obverse features the effigy of His Royal Highness the Grand Duke Henri, the inscription LËTZEBUERG, a logo indicating the fair trade sourcing of the metal, and the year 2016;
The reverse contains a mouse representing “D’Maus Ketti” after a drawing by Willy Faber as reproduced on the cover of the 1969 edition of the literary work of Auguste Liesch, along with the face value of 10 euro;
Struck in Proof quality, the coin has a smooth edge, a diameter of 16 mm, a weight of 1/10 ounce of pure gold, or 3.11 g per piece, as 0.999 fine gold Fairtrade. It is sold at a price of 160 €.

Mr. Kolb also held the official presentation of the “Clervaux Castle” bimetallic collectors coin. This piece of silver and niobium is the eighth part of the “CASTLES OF LUXEMBOURG” series. It has the following features:
The obverse features the effigy of His Royal Highness the Grand Duke Henri, the inscription LËTZEBUERG and the year 2016;
The reverse features a representation of Castle Clervaux background composed of several buildings, the shield representing the coat of arms of the lords of Clervaux, Clervaux called up and the face value of 5 euros;
Struck in Proof quality, the coin has a smooth edge, a diameter of 34 mm, and a weight of 16.60 grams (10.10 grams of silver under 0.925 and 6.5 grams of niobium). The sale price is set at € 85.
